This is a new area I am exploring thanks to the incredible training from my Functional Medicine Health Coaching program. I participated in groups during my own healing journey, and they always proved to be extremely valuable and life-changing, so I am excited to experience them from the perspective of being a guide. Groups really take on a life of their own, with a heartbeat and healing power that is completely unique. There are now a growing number of studies proving how group support equals measurable wellness...not to mention all of the benefits that can't be put into numbers.
One of the best features is that Group Sessions can take many shapes and forms over time, as needs evolve. I plan to always keep groups small and intimate, with both in-person and virtual options. I hope to offer Wellness Book Clubs, Mind-Body & Stress Reduction Technique Groups, Chronic Illness Thriving Groups, Character Strength Exploration Groups, and other groups based on popular wellness topics (to be determined based on demand/request).
No matter what the focus of these groups is, they will always unfold organically and go where the participants want and need them to. It is so beautifully true that, "We don’t heal in isolation, but in community.”
