Group Sessions

Though I typically spend most of my time working with people 1-on-1, in 2020, during the pandemic, I was able to add onto the group facilitation skills I learned during my Functional Medicine training. I took the opportunity to complete both the Professional and Advanced Training programs through The Center for Mind-Body Medicine, which equipped me with the tools to lead powerfully transformative Stress Reduction & Trauma Healing groups.

 

I participated in groups during my own healing journey, and they always proved to be absolutely life-changing, so I am excited and grateful to pay that experience forward. I believe that at the root of our chronic illness epidemic is trauma/stress and loneliness, and these groups are a beautiful and effective antidote. There are a growing number of studies proving how group support measurably impacts our health, and of course there are even more benefits that can't be measured but are definitely felt.
 

I plan to always keep groups small and intimate, following the format developed by the best of the best and used all around the world. Some will be in person, and some will be online. Past groups have included Wellness Book Clubs, Mind-Body Medicine Groups, Thriving with Chronic Illness Groups, and Character Strength Exploration.

No matter what the focus of the group is, it will always unfold organically and go where the participants want and need it to go. Synergy is very real! Time and time again I am reminded of the undeniable truth that, "We don’t heal in isolation, but in community.”
